So I have two breeding sows, a boar and 7 piglets on five acres rotational grazing. Just recently early summer i noticed one of my sows with swollen eye lids and discharge. I tried to keep her eyes clean and they would look better and hen worst. Today I noticed some of our piglets with the same white discharge. The piglets are separated from the breeders and are about 6 months old. Not sure what is happening as half of the pigs are fine. Any suggestions or ideas? They eye is such a sensitive area to clean as well. Any suggestions on product? My vet was not really sure and initially thought that the original sow that had the discharge must have injured her eye since we have a closed herd that was not exposed to other pigs. All the pigs are still lively and eating and acting normal. Any advice would be much appreciated.
